Morgan graduated with a Master of Science, concentrating in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP) from Herzing University in 2023, achieving a 4.0 GPA. In October 2023, she acquired national board certification through the ANCC and, in January 2024, received a Nurse Practitioner Furnishing License with Schedule II Privileges (active NPI & DEA) from the State of California.
Morgan’s experience includes exposure to a broad range of mental health conditions, including treatment-resistant depression and TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation), suicidality (active, passive, and crisis management), adjustment disorder, bereavement counseling, complicated grief, mood disorders, panic disorders, trichotillomania, social phobia/social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorders, ADHD (hyperactive, inattentive, and combined), schizophrenia, schizophreniform disorder, paranoid schizophrenia, ASD, irritability and restlessness, bipolar disorder (I and II), OCD, PTSD, trauma, and major depressive disorder (MDD) across the age spectrum. She is also familiar with referrals for MAT clinics and the VC Substance Use Access Line (ASAM), as well as laboratory referrals/interpretation (Quest), TOVA testing (ADHD), Vanderbilt (ADHD) MDQ screening (bipolar disorder), Vanderbilt diagnostic screening (ADHD), PHQ9/GAD7, and Genesight testing and interpretation, including L-methyl folate adjunctive therapy.
Morgan believes that while medications help mitigate symptoms and bridge gaps, the patient’s journey should always be considered, alongside the need to develop healthy skill sets. She is committed to doing what is in the patient’s best interest and meeting them where they are. Although psychiatry presents numerous challenges, Morgan finds it rewarding to know that she has significantly improved the quality of her patients’ lives by providing them with the tools necessary to persevere and live well.
